Rifle Setup & Intro to Marksmanship
About The Course
This course is designed to introduce students to the basics of rifle setup and precision shooting. Students will be introduced to a wide variety of precision rifle fundamental concepts including:
- Basic range safety
- Introduction to rifle scope systems
- Prone shooting essentials
- Milliradian / Minute-of-Angle units of measurement
- Use of Ballistic Calculator
- Introduction to reading wind
- and more.
In addition, actual on-the-firing-line time will consist of fundamental shooting which supports marksmanship concepts. Target engagement will be from 50 yards to 650 yards, depending on the student’s specific firearm system. This course is medium paced, designed to present the appropriate amount of information with a quick transition to range time.

Student attending should have a durable rifle that is capable of 1MOA accuracy at 100 yards, tactical scope, bi-pod, rear bag, 200 rounds of quality ammunition and all necessary comfort items.
